Welcome to Nagood.com

Hello. It’s just about five-thirty in the morning right now. The faintest hint of the rising sun graces my blinds as I sit and wonder, “what the hell am I doing awake at 5:30 in the fucking morning?”. Perhaps it’s fate that drew me to my computer this morning. Or perhaps it’s my uncontrollable urge to introduce you to our brand new website. Or a chemical imbalance… perhaps??? All things aside, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Nagood.com
I know what most of you readers are thinking right now. You’re probably thinking, “Nagood.com??? That sounds intriguing. Is there an address to which I can send a $1000 check in order to support this incredibly prestigious sounding website venture???” Well… yes, there is an address. But hold your horses there cowboys and cowgirls. Let me tell you what our website is about first. We’re more than just a pretty name.
Three years ago on a day just like any other day, a child and his mule stood atop an impressive hill. Bright-eyed, curious, and with nothing to lose, the mismatched pair was ready to attack the day with the youthful exuberance that only an 5 year-old boy and his mule can possess. For the sake of this story, lets call the boy Billy. “We’re going to have an adventure today, Boots”, said Billy to his mule. Naturally, the mule didn’t respond. Yeah… mules can’t talk. Nevertheless, like the mighty penguin preparing to take a dive into the frigid water, the two set off on a journey that would not be forgotten.

Five-year old boys generally have very inquisitve minds, and when you team one up with a mule, well… that’s a recipe for disaster. Three years ago, on day just like any other day, Billy and his mule Boots set off on a quest for the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex. At just five years old, Billy decided to start his journey at the only place he knew dinosaurs existed: the dark, wet, dangerous woods behind his house. Billy and Boots explored the woods — fearless: valiant knight and a noble steed, on a pursuit to slay the magnificent dragon. Several hours past, and their efforts proved futile. No Tyrannosaurus Rex, no valiant knight, no noble steed, nothing at all. Feeling disheartened and exhausted, Billy decided to retire to his home. At that moment, the dreadful feeling of being completely lost hit Billy: like an angry Iron Chef hitting his assistant for not preparing the stingray correctly (if you understand this reference, I love you). “What do we do, Boots?”, exclaimed a terrified Billy. Naturally, the mule didn’t respond. Again… mules can NOT talk. Countless hours of screaming and mule-honking were in vain, as the couple had ventured into such a remote area of the woods that they would remain unheard by anyone. Billy was just a five year-old boy. He was cold, frightened, and tremendously hungry; and he did what any five year old child would do in his situation…
He ate the mule.
The next morning at the crack of dawn, the search team found Billy — asleep in a small bed of leaves. “Billy, Billy… we love you so much. Why did you scare us like that?”, screamed his loving parents through the streams of tears. The warm and touching reunion lasted for 15 minutes; the family, now whole, returned home. “Son,” said Billy’s father tenderly, “Where’s Boots?” To this, Billy replied very plainly, “I ate him.” And simultaneously, the two parents shouted, “Aww, Billy! Na good!!!” And thus, Nagood.com was born.
How do I know this story so well, you ask? Well, the little boy, Billy, is actually… me.
No, not really… I just made that whole story up. Anyhow, the truth behind the name Nagood.com is a tale to be told at a later time. Nagood.com is a place for people to write about what they’re thinking, what they imagine, and what the hell they just can’t stand. We’ll bring you the best of all worlds, whether it be movies, music, toys, short-stories, haiku… well, you name it. We aim to please. Oh, and if you want haiku, we’ll definitely please you. So sit down; have a drink. The party is only beginning. As for me, I’m going to bed.
Oh… and on a semi-related note, never underestimate the value of a good night’s rest. Think long and hard about your options the next time someone asks you, “Would you like to sleep with me?” Good night!
