This is Me

While tearing the house apart searching for my optical illusion playing cards the other day, I came upon something very interesting: a picture of myself at three years old. Like most three year olds, I was a pretty damn cute kid. But for some reason… this particular picture intrigued me. It showed better than any other picture of me at the time, just how immensely I’ve changed over the many years. And this change is rather tremendous. Could it be that the stress of growing up ? the stress of everyday life - has weathered my youthful and energetic spirit that much?
Look at me. Three arms, huge legs, giant floppy orange ears… everything about me screamed, “I’m no one’s bitch!” And look at that huge smile on my face. I could’ve lit a room with that smile. Somewhere between then and now, I lost something. Not only the third arm, but the magnificent childish flair that we all once had. What the hell happened to me?
